Are you interested in being a debater or moderator for one of our planned sessions Summer/Autumn 2024? We are planning on hosting these debate evenings in a venue still TBD in Berlin, Germany.
As we are an independent, not yet funded platform of just two persons, we cannot offer remuneration. Our approach is that our events can serve as a platform for the debaters and moderators to further illustrate their work and authority (whether you are promoting a book, publishing or launching a project that aligns with the topic and questions for that week’s debate event).
Your expertise or sets of expertise’s should of course serve the discussion of the proposed topic and sets of questions for that session. The requirements are:
- You are an expert or have credible authority on a topic.
- You have a broad understanding of the opposing view and are prepared to openly discuss.
- You practise active listening and respectful dialogue and are open to challenge and be challenged in a live session.
- You will present fact-based arguments and offer logical reasoning.
The debate format seeks to promote invigorating and fruitful discussion to maximise the insight from multiple perspectives on the issues being discussed.
Moderators should be similarly well versed in the topic and questions proposed for one of the six Events. Ideally you have experience in moderating a FORUM type format with a Q&A/open discussion with the audience, following the debate.
